Celebrate Oktoberfest in Philadelphia

Yes, another celebration we Americans have so readily adopted (along with Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day and Carnival) Oktoberfest celebrates all things German (and when we say ‘all things’ we mean beer and bratwurst). If you’re stuck for where best to get your drink on this Oktoberfest in Philadelphia, this guide should help you out (unfortunately not your liver though).

McGillin’s, Until October 6 – Sup special brews and Germanic fare right up until the Midtown Village Fall Festival which seesDrury Street become a giant beer garden.
Frankford Hall, Until September 30 – A slew of brew-related events including pig-roasts and beer tapping.

SoWe, Until October 18 – Drink without guilt as 50 cents from each beer sold during Oktoberfest goes to the neighbourhood’s community project, the Julian Abele Park.

Brauhaus Schmitz, September 24-29 – Week-long beer guzzling events plus live music, pig-roast and more on the 29th.

Morgan’s Pier, September 29 – Join their first-ever Oktoberfest Celebration with DJs, bratwurst, pretzels and a vast array of fall beers.
