Philly’s Third Annual Honey Festival Returns this Week

Presented by the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild, the third annual Philadelphia Honey Festival could just be the sweetest festival yet.

Running for three days over September 7-9, celebrate the hard (and tasty) work of the humble bee, with a weekend filled with fun, educational and honey-packed events at the Wagner Free Institute of Science, Wyck Historic House & Garden and Bartram’s Garden.

Marvel at the work of the bee by peeking inside a real beehive and learning how to make delicious honey-themed dishes. Whilst of course, sampling of ready-made treats such as honeycomb ice cream from Franklin Fountain, and supping the delights from Stonekeep Meadery, Prism Brewing Company and Earth Bread + Brewery.

Other activities over the weekend include beekeeping workshops, talks from local artists and authors, local honey tastings and beeswax candle making.

All events are free and open to the public so join the buzz this weekend!
