Fashion has a Night Out in Philly

Fashion's Night Out, Joan Shepp, Philadelphia, Fashion, Vogue, Anna WintourComing as great news for Philadelphia’s fashion scene, the Accessories Council has chosen Philadelphia to host the annual Fashion’s Night Out event next week.

Now a world-wide shopping event, Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) the brainchild of infamous Vogue Magazine editor, Anna Wintour will take place next Thursday, September 6 from 6 pm – 11 pm.

Both the City of Philadelphia and local fashion retailer, Joan Shepp will be highlighted this year, as the second annual cocktail reception for the Accessories Council will take place in the Joan Shepp store on Walnut Street.

Not only does the night put a spotlight on the fashion industry and offer up great shopping deals, but this year the Accessories Council’s newest initiative, USAMade, will launch.

USAMade aims to promote jewellery and accessories designed and manufactured in the United States of America, consisting of a variety of beautiful pieces, priced from $20 to over $400, all available to buy at the Joan Shepp store on the evening.

Espeically for FNO, pioneer of American-made jewellery and design, Joan Shepp will host nearly a dozen designers from the USAMade initiative, as well as new lines from the likes of Nicole Romano, John Wind and Alex Woo.

The cocktail reception and shopping events are both free and open to the public, and is one of many fashionable events happening throughout the city as part of Fashion’s Night Out.

Beginning life in New York City four years ago, Fashion’s Night Out is a collaboration between Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York. There are now events held in over 500 cities nationwide and in different 19 countries.
